The Peer Specialist will provide direct peer support services to clients, contribute to team planning, and assist with outreach and transitional care efforts in community settings. Most importantly, the Peer Specialist will draw upon his or her own lived experience to help develop and maintain the program’s culture of respect and focus on the client’s potential for returning to independent living. The Peer Specialist must possess the ability to engage and affect change through a person-centered model.
