Job Description
This position serves as a personal guide, and liaison for individuals with substance use disorders identified in WVU Medicine affiliated treatment settings. The recovery coach supports patients by assisting them with identifying treatment needs, developing, maintaining, and monitoring individualized treatment plans, and supporting patients to remain in treatment. The recovery coach’s duties include providing outreach, support, recovery check-ups on site in treatment settings, in the community and functioning as part of a treatment team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School Diploma orEquivalent
2. Completion of state or nationally recognized Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certificationtraining within90 daysof hiredate.
3. Peer Recovery Certification issued by state board where services are provided within one (1) year of hire:
