Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of payroll delivery, including payroll systems, HMRC compliance, and TPS and LGPS requirements.
• Shape and lead a high-quality payroll service while driving continuous improvement and innovation across the organisation.
• Ensure payroll processes run smoothly, accurately and in line with best practice.
• Manage payroll returns and queries, maintaining robust, audit‑ready processes.
• Support further embedding and development of the payroll and pensions service, with potential leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Technical expertise in payroll management, with experience in payroll systems and HMRC compliance.
• Experience managing Teacher’s Pension Scheme (TPS) and Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) requirements.
