RESPONSIBILITIES
: The Payroll Assistant provides support to the Payroll Manager and the Payroll Specialist. The position requires respect for confidentiality, computer skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or an associate degree with a minimum of two years of experience in payroll, tax or accounting/financial position. Must have excellent people skills and be proficient in oral and written communications, exercise good judgment, must accept responsibility and perform duties in an atmosphere of team-like cooperation. Excellent computer skills are required and extensive experience with word processing and spreadsheet software.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Payroll experience in a university environment. A working knowledge of computerized payroll and payroll laws.
