Job Description
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the payroll process.
Key Missions
- Calculate and process gross-to-net payroll, including salaries, overtime, shift differentials, commissions, bonuses, deferred compensation, benefits, deductions, and payroll-related liabilities.
- Maintain and update payroll employee records, including compensation changes, benefits enrollment, statutory deductions, new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence.
- Verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness prior to processing and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable payroll legislation, labor laws, union agreements, and tax regulations across jurisdictions.
