Patient Escort / Full Time / Days / 9a-530p / 40 hrs

The Patient Escort is responsible for supporting the Mission and Vision of Henry Ford Health Rochester by under limited supervision, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, transports patients within the Hospital and other facilities.

Responsibilities: Essential Functions| Maintains a positive and professional atmosphere for patients. Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical or emotional stress.| Transports or escorts patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed or ambulatory means at scheduled times, or as needed, to and from areas throughout the hospital for testing, treatment, and nursing unit transfers. Ensures patient safety and prevents injuries by using proper lifting techniques, and applying body mechanics principles.
