Location: Norfolk
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Schedule: Monday - Friday with Weekends Required ( 40 hour work weeks)
Position Overview
We are seeking Patient Access Technicians to support the Emergency Department. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in patient registration, insurance verification, revenue cycle support, and customer service. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting and interacting with patients experiencing a wide range of medical conditions, including trauma, behavioral health, and emergency situations.
Responsibilities

+ Register patients and collect demographic information

+ Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations

+ Collect copayments and explain patient financial obligations

+ Enter accurate patient information into hospital systems
