Passenger Assistant

Dorset Travel coordinates the transport provision for children and young people with additional needs within Dorset as well as out of county. The team also supplies and supports transport needs for Mainstream, Child Care and Adults.

A Regular Passenger Assistant is required for the Shaftesbury Area, contracted at approximately 10 hours per week – Term Time Only commencing at £13.05 per hour.

The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support children and young people with additional needs by providing assistance and maintaining a safe environment on the journey from or to home or school.

This vacancy supports a young person(s) serving EMA Gillingham and will require additional medical training.

Candidates need to be available in the morning and afternoon to coincide with school opening and closing times.
