Part-Time SEN Tutor

Role Overview

Prospero Teaching is recruiting experienced SEN Tutors to work with pupils across Cumbria, delivering 1:1 tuition in both Maths and English from KS1 through to KS4.

Our tutors support vulnerable pupils who are currently out of school, many of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role requires patience, flexibility, and a creative approach to re‑engage students with learning.

Location

Lancashire (community settings or pupil homes, with safeguarding measures in place)

Hours & Pay

Approx. 10 – 20 per week (flexible between 9am – 4pm, term‑time only).

Pay: £25 – £30 per hour, depending on experience.

Contract

Ongoing, part‑time, flexible.

Subjects

Both Maths and English (tutors must be confident delivering both at an appropriate level).
