Parent Peer Support Specialist
Job Summary:
The Parent Peer Support Specialist provides support to caregivers with children that have behavioral health challenges, and/or, mental health diagnosis within the community in a team approach. This support includes one-on-one consultation to identify goals for caregivers and walk alongside them as they navigate systems of care. Responsibilities:
Utilize shared lived experience with parents who have children using services
Work with a clinical team to engage crisis clients in recommended services
Serve as a liaison and advocate for caregivers in need of peer support with services
Build and maintain relationships and good communication with other service providers and supports in the community
Help clients and their families mobilize and use social supports and community resources
Complete documentation within required time frames
