Paper Machine Area Supervisor

Language: English (spoken and written) and French would be considered an asset.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

5-7 years experience in the papermill industry.

Strong technical knowledge of paper machine systems.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Problem solving, analytical and trouble shooting skills.

Responsibilities

Report to the Superintendent – Papermill.

Maintain and develop operational control to ensure paper manufacturing stability on the paper machines.

Coach and mention employees to ensure maximum performance.

Maintain a communications program to keep employees informed regarding mill and departmental priorities.

Support compliance with collective agreement and sound union / management / employee relations.

Maximize paper machine production capability through the application of technology, best work practices and management of continuous change.
