Overnight Veterinary Assistant - Emergency

**BluePearl** **Pet Hospital in Glendale, WI** **is** **seeking** **a knowledgeable and skilled** **Veterinary** **Assistant** **to join their fast-paced emergency department.** *** Must have 2 years of Veterinary Assistant experience***

Our Veterinary Assistants triage emergency cases as they come in and assist DVM with crafting and going overestimates as needed. In addition, they perform diagnostics (radiographs, labwork, etc), setting patients up in ICU or Inpatient ward, discharging patients, and handling client communication.

**As an Emergency** **Veterinary** **Assistant** **,** **you will:**

+ Provide nursing care to patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.

+ Report patient signalment, problem list and plan during nursing rounds.

+ Understand classification ofcommonly usedmedications, associated sideeffectsand appropriately monitors therapeutic response.
