Friedman Industries is seeking a safety-focused and dependable Crane Operator to join our operations team. This role is responsible for operating overhead cranes to safely move steel products throughout the facility, load and unload trucks and railcars, and support daily production operations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment, and is committed to safety, teamwork, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 10-ton, 15-ton, and 30-ton overhead cranes in compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Load and unload steel products from trucks and railcars
- Move coils and bundles of steel to production lines and designated storage areas
- Utilize wireless crane remotes and proper lifting techniques
- Accurately identify materials and complete inventory-related paperwork
