**Outside Machinist Positions**

**Responsibilities**

+ Install, repair, and test mechanical systems on ships.
+ Support the Refueling Complex Overhaul program.
+ Read and interpret drawings related to chill water, ventilation, and steam systems.
+ Conduct inspections and testing, including flange/fitting inspections and hydrostatic testing.
+ Assess and repair corrosion on shipboard systems.
+ Replace or repair flow regulators, solenoids, temperature regulating valves, and isolation valves.
+ Mentor, train, and teach coworkers and customers.
+ Troubleshoot and repair shipboard ventilation systems, such as cooling coils and preheaters.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $28.00/hr.
