Outreach Tutor

Role

1st Staff are looking for a Tutor to work with children with a range of SEN in the Blackpool area. The role will be to deliver sessions on a 1:1 basis to young people unable to attend mainstream education. The ideal candidate would have a caring and friendly nature allowing them to build a rapport with the young person. Experience as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant or Mentor would also be appreciated.

Position Details

• Location: Child's home, local library or community centre
• Position: 1:1 Tutor
• Hours: Part‑time or full‑time – most referrals are between 10–15 h/week. Full‑time tutors usually work with multiple students.
• Start date: ASAP
• Subjects: English & Maths
