JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Orthopaedics Physician Assistant Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Mount Airy, NC Service Setting: Orthopaedic outpatient clinic and surgical services Schedule: Flexible 4.5-day workweek On-Call Expectations: 1:3 call schedule with shared first call responsibilities Start Date: Negotiable PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE Patient Demographics: Adults and geriatrics with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions Average Daily Volume / Census: Varies by clinic and surgical caseload Admissions & Rounding: Included as needed for surgical patients Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: General orthopaedics, surgical assist, fracture care, joint replacement, sports medicine FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup: Full hospital services, orthopaedic surgeons, anesthesia support Support Staff: Collaborative team including orthopaedic surgeons, APPs, nurses, and OR staff Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to su...
