Summary:

Functions as a surgical scrub during surgical and endoscopic cases. Works as a member of the surgical team in activities of patient care within scope of assigned duties and clinical expertise.

Responsibilities:

Competently assists the surgeon as a surgical scrub during surgery and endoscopic cases. Able to perform all duties associated with this role. Participates in preparing and collecting surgical supplies for surgery. Maintains and orders par levels of general and special-order supplies in collaboration with Supply Chain. Helps to review supply inventory for expiration dates. Uses and helps to maintain surgery preference cards to ensure all equipment and supplies are available. Adheres to strict aseptic technique. Arranges surgical instrumentation and equipment in an orderly fashion and able to maintain, operate, and pass instrumentation efficiently during surgery.
