Job Description
Clinical Duties:
Conduct outpatient consultations for general ophthalmic and cataract patients.
Perform detailed eye examinations, including slit-lamp, refraction, and fundus evaluations.
Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, with a focus on age-related cataracts.
Counsel patients regarding cataract surgery, lens options (monofocal, multifocal, toric), and expected outcomes.
Perform minor procedures in OPD as needed (e.g., IOP measurement, lacrimal syringing, etc.).
Refer surgical candidates to the OT or schedule accordingly.
Post-operative follow-up and management of cataract patients.
Surgical Responsibilities (if applicable):
Perform cataract surgeries (phacoemulsification/SICS) as per schedule.
