Operator (Explosives Truck)

Overview

The purpose of this role is to load blast holes with explosive products using a mixer-placer truck in accordance with BME standards, and to be responsible for truck inspection and maintenance.

Executive Team; Senior Management/Management/Country Managers; Customers; Support Teams; Operations; Production; Any other stakeholder as may be deemed important and relevant from time to time.

Key External Stakeholders

This may vary depending on the site for which you are recruiting, as BME operates across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Mathematics)
• EC License – Code 14 (EC)
• Dangerous Goods and Passengers permit (DGP)

Experience

• 3 years Truck Driving experience (preferably in mining environment)
• 5 years’ experience in driving heavy duty vehicles (EC)
