Job Description

About the role
We are seeking Drill Operators for permanent opportunities at our QCoal Northern Hub Project situated in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, about 200 kilometres’ northwest of Mackay and 6km south of Collinsville. 

Working a 7 on and 7 off roster and adhering to Thiess’ safety standards and operational procedures you will: 
Accurately check the quality and depth of drill holes and record ground conditions that may affect blasting; 

Maintain a clean and tidy Drill rig and report/address any maintenance faults; 

Demonstrate a positive attitude towards regular and reliable drill metres, rig utilisation and consumables usage; 

Provide neat and complete associated documentation for drill reports and pre-starts checks; 

Regularly use and active participation in safety assessments; and 

Be willing to be trained across a variety of drill rigs in the fleet and show an adaptable at...
