Operations Technical Officer

• Operate the power plant according to procedures and requirements, including starting, loading, unloading and shutting down the complete plant and systems.
• Support the ASCE/SCE/PSCE to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set‑up and operation of the Power Station.
• Have sound knowledge of safe operating parameters, controls, precautions and safety interlocks when starting and loading plant equipment to avoid damage and run the plant most efficiently.
• Troubleshoot, analyse and test plant process conditions when necessary.
• Manage, monitor and control plant process operation from the control room DCS.
• Record plant operating data and report defects and abnormalities.
• Carry out isolation/normalisation of equipment as required by the Permit To Work System.
• Understand and be familiar with plant chemistry, including handling of plant waste discharge.
