Operations Assistant (Evenings)

Role Overview

At Bath & North East Somerset Council, Heritage Services manages key historic sites. The Operations Team prepares sites for public opening, manages daily operations and sets up/strikes functions. The role involves general cleaning, washroom replenishment, security, patrolling and porterage duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare heritage sites for public opening.
• Maintain cleanliness and replenish washrooms.
• Conduct security patrols and address safety concerns.
• Assist with porterage and event setup/striking.

Qualifications

• Well presented and confident in a busy public environment.
• Capable of manual handling tasks.
• Ability to follow training and perform tasks safely.

Salary & Hours

£25,583 – £25,989 p.a. (plus approx. £5,000 unsociable hours and weekend enhancements). Hourly rate £13.26‑13.47. Hours: 17:00‑02:30.
