An exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement / supply chain professional to join our Open Pit Workshop purchasing and logistics team. Working with the stores team, maintenance mechanics, and internal and external suppliers and stakeholders, this is a great opportunity to start or further develop your career in the mining industry. This role works 7:00am to 4:30pm, on a 5 on / 2 off / 4 on / 3 off roster, with a long weekend every fortnight, based at the Macraes Mine. We run free buses to site from Oamaru, Dunedin and most locations in between. The Purchasing Officer sources materials and executes transactional purchases that capture best value for the OceanaGold operations. As part of the Open Pit Workshop team, this role will work to ensure that items are ordered, stored, issued and receipted according to OceanaGold's site protocols.
