On-Site Plumber

We are excited to offer a Permanent Plumber position in HMP Cardiff, Knox Rd, Cardiff CF24 0UG .

At Amey, we provide safe, clean, and efficient prisons for the Ministry of Justice.

Standard hours: 39 hours per week (8:00‑17:00, Monday to Friday, with one hour lunch. Weekend shifts on a 1‑in‑3 pattern, 15% allowance).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the contract.
• Performing statutory work on time, ensuring compliance.
• Conducting routine and non‑routine maintenance, including fault finding and repairs.
• Inspecting, sampling water, and assessing risks to maintain system integrity.
• Repairing mains water supply and addressing life‑expired equipment.
• Monitoring the BMS system to ensure optimal performance.
