Nursing Assistant / Med/Surg Telemetry OverFlow / Full Time / Days / 36 hrs

General Summary: Understands and applies Henry Ford Health's mission statement by administering direct and indirect nursing care to the patients assignedunder the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), according to hospital policy. Actively supports and participates in the activities of the unit. Specific duties shall be assigned according to department and the care delivery system of the unit.

Responsibilities: Essential Functions

+ Assists, under direction of the RN, in providing basic patient care duties including, but not limited to, taking vital signs, patient hygiene activities, feeding and bathing of patients, and post-mortem care. Performs activities of daily living appropriate to the patient’s condition.

+ Administers, under direction of the RN, basic treatments to patient including, but not limited to, preparing special procedure set-up, I & O measurement, collection of urine and stools, application of cold/heat packs. Performs Glucose monitor...
