**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As our **Discharge Lounge Nurse Shift Manager / Throughput Coordinator** , you will help the hospital and its patients improve efficiency and flow so they can experience optimized care, reduced length of stay, and better resource utilization.

Every day you will provide leadership and oversight for critical areas like the Discharge Lounge. You will be expected to actively participate in bed management meetings, deliver essential education and training to nursing departments to decrease length of stay, and effectively liaise with staff to encourage timely discharges and facilitate seamless patient throughput.

To be successful in this role you must possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of hospital operations and patient flow dynamics.
