Nurse Practitioner - Urology - Regular Part-Time - Days

1. PURPOSE OF JOB: To perform, under the responsibility and supervision of a Urologist/Urologynecologist, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks allowing the Urologist to extend his/her services. The NP assists the doctor through the more effective use of this knowledge and decision-making, helping to establish diagnoses and to plan subsequent therapy. He/she may assist in gathering the data necessary to implement the therapeutic plan of hospitalization. He/She will utilize their skills in evaluation, diagnosing & managing a variety of conditions in both Gynecology and Urology. A major role will be as a patient's advocate in the medical care system serving as an advisor and liaison between patients and physicians.
