Job Description
The Division of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University is seeking a **_Nurse Practitioner_** for the Pediatric Emergency Department. The successful applicant will have experience with managing pediatric trauma as well as pediatric emergency department workflow.
**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for performing many patient-oriented tasks such as interviewing patients, taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering laboratory tests, making tentative diagnoses, prescribing appropriate treatments, and performing appropriate procedures.
+ Educates patients/participants and/or their families in order to promote wellness, prevent health problems, maintain current health, and intervene in acute or chronic illness.
