Job Description
Summary:
Under general supervision of the Chairman of the Department of Hematology/Oncology Academic Medical Center and the Director of Cancer Services and Ambulatory Care is responsible for evaluation of and development of treatment plans for hematology/oncology patients. Assists in the care and management of hematology/oncology patients to include but not limited to admission history and physical ongoing assessment and intervention coordination of inpatient and/or outpatient care and discharge planning. All essential functions performed in this position reflect the age specific needs of the patient.
Responsibilities:
Functions as a clinical expert by providing direct episodic health care to prevent and meet the acute symptomatic and palliative care needs of patients with cancer.
