This includes providing general and preventive care, conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting lab tests, and prescribing medications. The NP plays a vital role in all aspects of patient care, including evaluation, treatment planning, and consultation, while working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.
