Job Description
Responsible for the day to day delivery and on-going development of a comprehensive nuclear medicine service within in accordance with the National Minimum Standards and Regulations of Independent Health Care.
Advise when required the clinical indications, limitations, assessments, or risks of diagnostic applications of radioactive materials.
Check and approve the quality of diagnostic images before patients are discharged.
To meet in full the requirements of the Ionising Radiation Regulations (2017) and IR(ME)R 2017, the Outside Workers (1993) Regulations, the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations (1988), Data Protection Act (1984) and any subsequent legislation.
Enforce radiation protection standards for patients and staff.
