POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares for and operates a Gamma camera and PET/CT scanner and administers radiopharmaceuticals following specific physician orders. Produces detailed computer generated scans of patients for diagnostic and therapeutic use. Assists patients onto camera/scanner, verifies patient identification prior to scan, selects patient from work list, ensures exam is archived on the PACS and completed properly in the RIS.
