NSQIP Champion for Surgical Quality

Step into a leadership role with the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. As an NSQIP Champion, you will foster initiatives that advance surgical quality and patient safety across healthcare teams.
In this essential role, you will work closely with physicians to guide evidence-based strategies aimed at improving perioperative outcomes. Reporting to the Local Department Head of Surgery, you will also liaise with the NSQIP Regional Team, dedicating approximately six hours per month to quality improvement initiatives. Participation in NSQIP meetings and local summits is vital for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Surgical Clinical Reviewer to address data issues
• Analyze semi-annual reports for quality insights
• Design and implement an annual quality improvement project
• Attend NSQIP collaborative meetings and the ACS Conference
