NRO - Retail Store Associate

Position Purpose

The role provides service to customers, sorting incoming product and assists in the ongoing retail operations of The Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers/donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner; contribute to meeting store sales targets.
• Provide efficient customer service, including accurate handling of cash, debit, cheques, credit cards, refunds, voids, and holds.
• Process raw materials by loading, unloading, sorting, packing, hanging, pricing, and storing donations; maintain accurate product pricing and store inventory.
• Maintain store opening and closing procedures; monitor store security and activity; assist with store layout and display to enhance customer attraction.
• Contribute to health and safety by clearing obstacles, maintaining safe conditions, cleaning and sweeping, and following OH&S Act regulations.
