Location: Any of the 10 Community Library sites: Allenton, Allestree, Blagreaves, Chaddesden, Chellaston, Derwent, Mackworth, Spondon, Springwood and Sinfin.

The role

This is a role for someone who likes people. There are lots of potential roles for library volunteers. You may be someone who likes helping older people and you would welcome the opportunity to spend time talking to people over a hot drink, thumbing through reminiscence material. Perhaps you have the knowledge and drive to organise activities? We always need people to help with computer sessions and at Repair Cafés. You could be someone who wants to encourage young children to read and would enjoy running reading activities such as Rhymetimes or Storytimes, and dealing with school visits.
