Non-Medical Prescriber (ADHD)

Help for Psychology is a small provider of autism and ADHD assessments within Norfolk and Suffolk. We also carry out assessments on a private basis and are developing a private prescribing service for families who wish to access this.

Position: Non‑Medical Prescriber – Full time
Reports to: Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Main duties

• Initiate ADHD medication, titrate and optimise treatment for children and young people up to 18 years.
• Write prescriptions for controlled drugs and other medications within scope under senior clinical staff supervision.
• Coordinate shared‑care arrangements with local GPs; transfer patients back to GP care once treatment established.
• Carry out annual clinical checks until age 18.
• Deliver medication initiation and titration clinics at The Grange clinic in Old Catton.
