NOC 85103 - Nursery and greenhouse labourers

Job Summary Carry out a variety of tasks to grow, maintain and prepare plants in nursery and greenhouse settings. Support production schedules through planting, pest monitoring, maintenance and packing activities. Number of Positions 2 Main Duties Plant, transplant and pot seedlings, cuttings and container stock according to production schedules. Water, fertilize and apply approved treatments to maintain plant health and growth. Monitor plants for pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies and report observations to supervisors. Prune, deadhead and perform routine plant maintenance to ensure quality and uniformity. Operate and maintain irrigation systems, basic greenhouse equipment and hand tools. Sort, grade, pack and prepare plants and materials for storage, sale or shipment, and maintain clean work areas.
