NOC 73101 - Tile setters

Job Summary Install and repair interior and exterior tile surfaces for residential and commercial projects. Maintain quality, alignment, and finish while following safety and manufacturer guidelines. Number of Positions 3 Main Duties Prepare and level substrate surfaces, remove old coverings, and apply underlayment and waterproofing as required. Measure and lay out tile patterns, calculate material quantities, and mark reference lines for accurate installation. Cut and shape ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles using wet saws, tile nippers, and hand tools. Apply adhesives or mortar, set tiles with correct alignment and spacing, and ensure level installations. Grout, seal, clean, and finish tile joints and surfaces to achieve specified appearance and durability. Inspect completed work, perform repairs or replacements as needed, and maintain tools and equipment in good condition. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent education.
