Role Overview

Maintenance Apprentice – Location: Royston, UK. Site‑based role with Johnson Matthey, a world leader in platinum group metals, working in the Noble Metals division.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to maintain and repair plant and equipment.
• Learn how mechanical and electrical systems operate within a manufacturing environment.
• Support planned maintenance activities and respond to equipment issues safely.
• Develop practical engineering skills through hands‑on work and formal training.
• Follow site safety, quality and security procedures at all times.

• A practical, hands‑on approach and interest in how things work.
• A logical mindset with willingness to learn new technical skills.
