Network Engineer

Summary

The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the network infrastructure, administration of equipment, such as routers, switches and firewalls, and maintaining the unified communications telephony system. Provides expert consultation and customer service to the users of data and telecommunications network services and systems. Monitors and runs diagnostics on the organization’s network infrastructure. Consults with local and regional network operations staff and service providers in order to facilitate problem resolution within the university campus infrastructure, its wide-area networks and the Internet. Analyzes and implements appropriate solutions to operational problems. Identifies existing and emerging technologies and evaluates applicability.​
