SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: As the Agency continues to see increased growth in enterprise applications, data capabilities, and infrastructure modernization initiatives, the Department of Public Health (DPH) Office of Information Technology (OIT) is advancing the Agencys core network and identity services architecture to better leverage network resources, data, assets, infrastructure, and systems. Some of these initiatives include SD-WAN, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and secure authentication and Active Directory enhancements. Consistent with best security practices, DPH is further enhancing the Agencys application ecosystems by expanding and maturing its existing Identity-Based Networking Services (IBNS) framework, leveraging certificate-based authentication to strengthen identity assurance across users and devices as a foundational component of the Agencys security architecture.
