Job Description
Start Date: Mid-August 2025
Schedule: Weekend coverage preferred; 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available
Practice Setting:
- 16-bed Level III NICU
- 3 full-time neonatologists and 6+1 per diem pediatric mid-level providers
- Average census: 8 9 patients
- Average admissions: 0 2 per shift
- Night coverage includes Level I well-baby nursery issues
- Neonatologist on-site during days and on-call 24/7
Responsibilities:
- Attend all C-sections
- Supervise NICU RNs and ancillary staff
- Perform NICU-level procedures including: Intubation, BiPAP/CPAP, Chest tube insertion, UAC/UVC placement, LPs, arterial/central lines, Exchange transfusions, Management of acute hemodynamic/volume issues
- No neonatal transport duties
