Job Description
THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Naval Architect (General) to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG)’s Ship Design Team at the Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) in Baltimore, MD. An ideal candidate will have significant prior experience with marine structural engineering; U.S. Federal or commercial shipbuilding programs, standards, and regulations; and U.S. shipbuilding acquisitions.
Typical Responsibilities:
+ Provide technical assessments of shipbuilder design deliverables.
+ Support development of HM&E and Auxiliary systems specifications.
+ Support Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM) and capture action items.
+ Coordinate and participate in the creation of technical papers, studies, and reports on emerging issues.
+ Support the government in developing technical responses to contractor’s questions.
