National Category Manager – Distribution

Job Description

We are seeking a National Category Manager – Distribution for our Mississauga Branch who will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies for internal and external customers working with suppliers, branches/sales teams, procurement, and business leaders in each division.

Key Responsibilities

Category Management

• Review and recommend stock packages.
• Review product demands and sales performance.
• Recommend external affiliations and industry events for staff and specialists (e.g., Light‑Fair, BICSI).
• Source and evaluate new products and/or vendors to enhance our product line and ensure ROI.
• Oversee product/supplier introduction with marketing, procurement, operations, and sales.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales on the promotional plan that delivers budgeted sales and gross profit within the assigned category.
