Personal Assistant (Job Description)

Provide support to a client in Barry, encouraging independence, participation in community activities, and ensuring safety.

Purpose of Job

Assist with everyday tasks, promote independent living skills, and keep the client connected with the community.

Responsibilities

• Help develop independent living skills such as using a washing machine and doing laundry.
• Assist with bus travel, using the client’s bus pass.
• Accompany the client to chosen activities and encourage participation.
• Prompt for basic personal care and remind the client to use the toilet before outings.
• Prompt and remind the client to take medication.
