Music Teacher/HS Assist. Band Director (2026-2027)

LOCATION: Oak Grove Elementary Music and Maumelle HS Assist Bank Director

QUALIFICATION: Candidates must be certified in Instrumental Music 125 (K-12) OR Instrumental Music 205 (PK - 8) AND Instrumental Music 206 (7 - 12).



REPORTS TO: Coordinator of Fine Arts and Building Principal



JOB GOAL: To develop in each pupil an appreciation of the art of music as part of general culture; to teach techniques of vocal and/or instrumental music expression; to discover and develop talents of pupils in the field of music; to develop knowledge and skills in listening to and reading music.





PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:




+ Plan and implement at least one evening or Sunday community concerts the first semester and a minimum of two the second semester.

+ Plan and implement senior high marching practices and limited Junior High marching. See page 213 of the curriculum guide.
