• JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:
  
  
• Operates equipment to conduct studies by positioning patients for optimum scan efficiency.
• As required during a procedure, assists positioning patients in required anatomical position for display of body for scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Evaluate scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label.
• Moves equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
• Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material and follows protocol for correct contrast use and storage.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
