Motor Vehicle Operator

Summary This position is located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The incumbent functions as the assigned driver of assigned commercial vehicles, to include cargo/passenger vans, stake trucks, passenger buses, etc. Responsibilities Operates gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles with gross vehicle weights of 22,000 pounds or more. These vehicles may include cargo vans, stake trucks and 29 passenger buses. Such vehicles are equipped with such driving controls as gear shift lever, brake pedal, accelerator, manual or automatic transmission, and may be equipped with air brakes. Operates vehicles over roads and streets through all kinds of traffic depending upon the type of vehicle operated and the purpose for which it is operated.
