**Job Description**
The Mitigation Technician plays a critical role as the first responder to property damage events. You assess the extent of damage, stop further deterioration, and begin immediate mitigation efforts to prepare the property for restoration and reconstruction. Typical tasks include water mitigation, demolition, and setting up drying equipment to ensure the site is safe, stable, and ready for the next phase of work.

**Responsibilities**

+ Respond promptly to urgent calls related to property damage and arrive on site prepared to begin mitigation work.
+ Assess damages at residential or commercial properties and determine appropriate mitigation steps to prevent further loss.
+ Stop the continuation of damage by identifying and addressing sources of water, moisture, or other hazards.
+ Perform water mitigation activities, including extracting water and drying out affected areas.
