An asphalt milling machine operator is responsible for safely operating a cold planer to remove and grind asphalt or concrete surfaces to specified depths and profiles, coordinating with the crew, and performing routine inspections and maintenance to ensure quality and uptime.

- Operate a cold milling machine to remove pavement to required depth, slope, and crossfall, adjusting controls to achieve a consistent, even surface.
- Monitor grade and speed, use grade control devices, and make real-time adjustments for surface smoothness and tie-ins.
